This Privacy Policy explains how E-Ticketing (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our platform to discover events, buy tickets, or organise and manage events. By using the platform you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account details: your name, email address, phone number, and password (stored only as a secure hash).
Purchase & ticket data: the events and tickets you buy, order references, and check-in/accreditation records.
Organiser data: for organisers, business details and bank/payout account information used to settle earnings.
Payment data: payments are processed by our payment provider (Paystack). We do not store your full card details on our servers.
Technical data: limited log data such as IP address and browser type, used for security and to operate the service.

2. How we use your information

To create and secure your account and authenticate you (including one-time verification codes).
To process ticket purchases, deliver tickets, and enable event check-in.
To settle organiser payouts and keep financial records.
To send you transactional messages (order confirmations, tickets, and, where you opt in, event announcements).
To protect the platform against fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal basis

We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), for our legitimate interests (security and service improvement), to comply with legal obligations, and — for optional communications — on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

4. Sharing your information

We share personal data only as needed to run the service: with our payment provider to process payments and payouts; with event organisers for the events whose tickets you purchase (for attendee management and check-in); and with service providers who host and support the platform. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting requirements, and resolve disputes. Verification codes are short-lived and expire automatically.

7. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and signed ticket tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the Nigeria Data Protection Act), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Children

The platform is not directed at children under the age required to hold an account in your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by asking you to review your cookie choices again.
